In 2007 the number of conventions and meetings patronized by the pharmaceutical industry has been reduced of more than 50% This is the data from AIFA's Bollettino d'Informazione sui Farmaci; in the first four months of this year have been authorized 2.117 conventions in comparison to last year's 4.792. Till April 2007 have been authorized 2.047 national meetings and 69 abroad, compared to 4.606 meetings in Italy and 186 abroad in the same period 2006. The drastic cut of the number of meetings organized is due, in investment terms, to a decrease of 73% between the two periods compared.
